Graduation Project 2015: Greenhouse
Congratulations to Cinthia and Ovidio, two of CAFE’s scholarship students, and the rest of the 2015 graduating class for the successful completion of the greenhouse. The greenhouse is 500 square meters, 50m long by 10m wide. The purpose of the greenhouse is to extend the harvest of tomatoes and peppers beyond the normal growing season with minimum insect damage. This project was completed as a whole school effort, but the graduating class of 2015 were the ones in charge of creating the business plan, solicitation of funding from different local organizations, creating the design, and directing the construction.
The fist crop of tomatoes and peppers was harvested in October 2015.
